Angela Boone started on her construction career at the young age of 17, working for a family friend. This early start ignited a passion for the industry that has only grown stronger over the past 35 years. Boone’s extensive experience and dedication have cemented her reputation as a seasoned professional in the construction world.

Throughout her career, Boone has been involved in a wide range of projects, from $400K endeavors to a massive $1.5 billion capital improvement program with the Detroit Public Schools. Her extensive resume showcases her versatility and expertise in handling projects of varying scales and complexities.

Boone is particularly passionate about project management, and the starting of a new project "from the foundation to the roof" relishing the fact that no two days are the same in this role. She thrives on the dynamic and ever-changing nature of construction, finding excitement and fulfillment in each new challenge and opportunity.

Despite the rewards, Boone acknowledges that being a small business owner in the construction industry comes with its own set of challenges. Navigating relationships with larger companies can be particularly tricky. While some are supportive of small businesses, others can pose significant obstacles. Nevertheless, Boone’s push and positive outlook have enabled her to overcome these hurdles and continue to grow her business.

Boone’s commitment to the industry extends beyond her own company. She is a fervent advocate for other small businesses, always willing to share her knowledge and experience. This passion for helping others has led her to start a training program aimed at those who are retired or transitioning into retirement, as well as individuals looking to enter the world of business ownership.
