With more than 35 years of experience in the construction industry, Angela Boone is the accomplished CEO and founder of A.R. Boone Construction. Renowned for her expertise in project and construction management and final cleaning services, Angela is a trusted partner for developers, contractors, municipalities, and project owners.
Angela began her professional journey in banking before becoming a manufacturing engineer at General Motors and then a project control specialist at Honeywell International. She holds a degree in Business Administration, has training in residential construction and interior design, and contributed to a $1.5 billion capital improvement program. She completed her first development in Detroit’s Brush Park through a joint venture and was honored as one of Michigan’s Top 10 Business Women of Distinction by the National Association of Women Business Owners.
Angela’s accomplishments in late 2025 have earned her the Spirit of Detroit Award, the Fire Fund Award, and the Wayne County Commission Unsung Hero Award, along with testimonial resolutions from the City Council and the Wayne County Clerk. She is also a published author, a featured personality in national and international magazines, and the host of the "Business Minded with Angie B" podcast. Angela is also the writer of a LinkedIn newsletter called "Construction News," where she shares industry insights and trends.
Committed to community involvement, Angela teaches a monthly art class at an elementary school in Southfield and helps others learn about business ownership and the construction industry. She has been a keynote speaker for the Michigan Department of Transportation and for community leaders in Muskegon, Michigan.
